Consumer Grassroots Association (CGA), a Kenyan national organization affiliated with Consumers International, is dedicated to championing consumer rights, particularly the right to safe and sustainable food. CGA serves as a key advocate for agroecology, fostering market demand for organic produce. At CGA, we believe that "we are what we eat," and we are committed to transforming Kenya's food systems by driving demand generation for sustainable practices. This transformation aims to achieve a fair, equitable, and just ecosystem for all living organisms. By integrating agroecological principles into production systems, we can also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

At CGA, we believe in the power of collaboration and recognize that the organic movement can thrive when consumers are placed at the heart and actively involved in decision-making and discussions on issues that directly impact them.

Our activities include:
1. Consumer capacity building through education on agroecology and organic produce
2. Evidence-informed advocacy
3. Policy advocacy where we have influenced the enactment of policies on agroecology at County level
