| 2 - Drivers and indicators of sustainable production and consumption | Our holistic watershed approaches are primarily aimed at enhancing sustainable use and management of natural resources with the cultivation of millets and pulses in the dry lands which ensures healthy diet, nutrition and ecological security. The establishment of PGS farmers groups and Farmers´Producer Organizations are dricing forces in strengthening sustainable food systems. |
| 3 - Actual data on sustainable production and consumption | A baseline study was conducted in 2016 which helped us to get the data on the sustainable food production and safe food consumption patterns in our target villages. We also have the information and data from from our non targeted villages which show the vast differences in terms of people´s quality food intake, health and nutrition aspects and increased removal of uterus cases among woman. This data are helping us in monitoring the results of our activities. |
| 4 - Policy reform proposals/arguments | We do series of campaign and advocacy works influence state policy on agriculture . Signature campaign demanding the change of State policy on procurement of millets, survey with next generation farmers on theri perception on agriculture and their interest in farming in future are some of our constant work and we use the results as tools for our policy arguments for sustainable production. |
| 5 - Training and education tools | Our involvement with children through or Nature School concept is still one of the core activity which attract rural youth very much. It not only provides environmental education to children but also brings them close to nature and brings them to understand their role in saving our mother Earth. Based on our experience, we have developed a playway method curriculam on Environmental eductaion for Children and this has been used during the visits of school children from other districts. |
| 6 - Case studies of food systems | Documentation of case studies, sucess stories of individual farmers and community watershed initiatives, community seed bank initiatives have been documented and used as one of the beste method of information sharing to inspire and motivated other farmers in to the transformation process of farmers towards sustainabel food production and consumption. |
