1 - Set of principles and attributes | Organic rice project (ORP) in Indonesia was established along with the OFSP initiative. The ORP is aimed to establish the principle of sustainability of organic rice as food systems which include production, processing and consumption. The ORP will contribute to evaluate which value chains in organic rice would be the best example for sustainable consumption. |
2 - Drivers and indicators of sustainable production and consumption | ORP will be examine and comparing to the requirement of public health policy. The indicator of sustainable consumption would be tested from production, processing and consumption. |
3 - Actual data on sustainable production and consumption | The result of deliverable 2 will be used to established benchmarking for sustainable consumption (in this case for Oragnic Rice/ or Rice in general). |
4 - Policy reform proposals/arguments | The result of deliverable 3 will be used for bilateral and multilateral discussion in international meetings. The policy argument will be sent to stakeholders including Ministry of Health or Ministry of Agriculture, Aliansi Organis Indonesia (AOI) and consumers. |
5 - Training and education tools | Establishing learning material for targets groups (consumers, University, policy makers). Summer school in Southeast Asia country for Organic Rice Project can be conjunct with other related issues. |
6 - Case studies of food systems | Exchanges information and experience the transformation processes through symposium and conferences organized by OFSP. |
7 - Workshops/roundtables | Round table between Aliansi organis Indonesia (AOI), Consumers, policy makers in Indonesia. |
